How my pricing works (and why it's better)
Most movers leave you guessing. A "man with a van" quotes a low hourly rate, then the day runs long and the bill shoots up. A big firm quotes £1,800 for your one-bed and wants an itemised list of every bit of cutlery before you've even packed.
I do it differently. You get one flat quote, agreed before the day, with everything in it. Here's exactly what makes up that number:
The service fee
My time, skill and care. From £225 for a small London move, rising with the size of the job and the distance.
The van
Covers van hire, my business insurance, fuel within London, tolls, and all the kit (trolley, packing blankets, bungee ropes, ratchet straps). Around £150.
Out-of-London travel & fuel
Only if we’re heading beyond the M25. Roughly 50p per mile for the round trip.
No clock-watching. No surprise hours. No "that didn't fit so it's extra." An extra stop at Argos on the way? No skin off my nose.
Booking & payment
- A 50% deposit secures your date.
- The balance is due by bank transfer once the job's done.
- Quotes come back to you the same day.
